The two broadcasting rights holders – Star India for TV channels and Viacom 18 for digital channels – retain exclusive control over content related to “live matches” and “venue”.

To enforce compliance with the rules, designated staff of the BCCI team responsible for IPL production closely monitor posts made by commentators, IPL teams, players and individuals present in an official capacity.
