The company launched the Limitless AI Pendant on April 15, a wearable device designed to record everything said nearby. Unlimited AI pendant features

The wearable pendant acts as a recording tool, recording everything said around it. Using artificial intelligence algorithms, the device can intelligently recognize and record only spoken words, not ambient sounds or background noise. It can even differentiate between different speakers. The recording capabilities are only half that of the entire Limitless product. The second part is a companion app, available for macOS, Windows, and web applications.

Recordings are saved in the cloud, and after the session ends, the device saves and stores the recordings on a server accessible through the app. The app also provides information from the recording in four different formats – useful context, transcript, notes and summary.

The context gives a brief overview of the conversation with specific keywords, while the summary provides a detailed description of the event. The transcript is the original transcription of the entire conversation, and the annotations are timestamped for easy discovery.

As far as the wearable’s specs go, it’s a flexible clasp with magnetic ends that can be worn as a pendant or clipped to clothing. The device has a folded width of 31.9mm and a thickness of 16mm. The company claims that the device has a battery life of 100 hours and supports USB Type-C charging.

The Limitless Pendant comes with multiple microphones to help it pick up audio. The device turns on a visible LED light to indicate when it is recording. To sync data with apps and the cloud, it supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Limitless is also very privacy-focused. The company has added a consent mode in which the device records speech only after the speaker gives verbal consent. It recognizes consent through contextual language so users don’t have to interrupt the flow of the conversation.

For data security, the company has launched Confidential Cloud, a secure cloud server where data is encrypted and stored but cannot be accessed by anyone except the user. This is similar to how Telegram and Signal store end-to-end encrypted data, which can be accessed across different devices but remains private to the user.
