Indo-Pak Clash closed Indian players after withdrawing Indian players at Legends Championship

Web Desk, 20/07/2025

The organizers of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) have officially called for an India-Pakistan match and apologized for hurting emotions and people’s hopes.

In its statement, WCL said that it had announced the Indo-Pak stability after a recent volleyball match between the two countries to create pleasant memories for fans. The tournament says that this could damage the feelings of many people and inconvenience Indian legends.

In view of this, a decision was taken to stop stability. WCL further apologized for hurting emotions.

Earlier, many Indian players like Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan also informed the media that they would not play India-Pakistan games. Sources also say that some other players have taken a similar stand in India Line-up.

In a post on X, Dhawan shared an email written to the tournament organs, where he said that the decision not to play Pakistan was given to the organizers on 11 May. Email said that the decision not to play Pakistan was considered the current geopolitical situation.

In his post dhawan said, “Jo kadam 11 may ko liya, uspe aaj bhi waise hi khada hoon. Mera desh mere liye sab kuch hai, aur desh se badhkar kuch nahi hota. Country is everything for me and noting is bigger than the country)

One of the sponsors of the tournament, the travel-tech portal Ishactrip also issued an official statement about the sponsorship of the WCL. The company clarified its stance that despite entering a 5 -year sponsoring agreement with WCL two years ago, it would not participate or participate in any match related to Pakistan.

The travel tech platform emphasized that its situation has always been clear. Easemytrip supports India Champion and stands firmly by the team. However, the company states that it does not support or promote any match which includes Pakistan.

Easemytrip confirmed its commitment to Team India, expressing her desire to bring home home.

On Sunday, in a post on X, ISITrip wrote, “Despite entering a 5 -year sponsoring agreement with the World Championship of Legends (WCL) two years ago, our attitude has always been clear whether to join any WCL match associated with Pakistan or to participate in any match. Pakistan would not have been involved in the same way.

It is going to be held from 18 July to 2 August in Birmingham, Northampton
