Rajnath Singh says India will enter Pakistan and kill anyone who escapes after attempted terror attack

New Delhi:

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told Pakistan that India will enter Pakistan and kill anyone who tries to escape across the border after committing terror activities in the country CNN News 18 on Friday.

Singh’s comments came a day after the British newspaper The Guardian published a report saying the Indian government had killed 20 people in Pakistan since 2020 as part of a broader plan to eliminate terrorists living on foreign soil. a part of.

The foreign ministry did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment on the report, while Pakistan’s foreign ministry declined to comment.

“If they escape to Pakistan, we will enter Pakistan and kill them,” Singh told the channel in response to a question about the report.

“India has always wanted to maintain good relations with its neighbours… but if there are people who look at India with anger again and again, come to India and try to promote terror activities, we will not let them go,” Singh said.

Relations between the two countries have deteriorated since the 2019 suicide bombing of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, which was found to have been carried out by Pakistani terrorists, leading India to carry out attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan air strikes.

Pakistan said earlier this year it had credible evidence linking Indian agents to the killing of two Pakistani citizens on its soil.

A senior Canadian official said in January that India was cooperating on the matter and bilateral relations were improving.
