Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar on Wednesday said that in the last 10 years, India has transformed itself from one of the weakest economies in the world to one of the top 5 economies.
Speaking to reporters at the ‘Developed India Ambassador Meet’, Chandrashekhar said, “Citizens of Pune who are interested in being part of the movement of building a developed India, which the Prime Minister has laid out as a vision for us , can become ambassadors of a developed India. Over the last 10 years, India has transformed itself from a fragile 5 economy to one of the top 5 economies in the world.”
Appreciating the ongoing development in the country, the Union Minister said that India has become an inspiration for countries around the world.
“We have become an inspiration to the countries of the world in terms of our economic performance, in terms of our inclusive policies and how we have transformed governance and made government work for the people,” he said.
Chandrashekhar said that the Prime Minister has set a target of making India a developed India in the coming years.
“In the coming years, the Prime Minister aims to make India a developed India, and he has said that it will be a partnership between the government, political parties and the citizens of the country. Every Indian should come forward and work towards a developed India. Be ambassadors so that this vision of a developed India is one that is being built for the future of young Indians,” he said.
“When young Indians grow up, they find themselves living in a country that has been transformed over the years by the hard work of many governments, including that of PM Narendra Modi,” the Union minister said.
Speaking to ANI, Anurag Dhuth, MD, Epitome Components Pvt Ltd, said that the idea of a developed India is the progress of the country and all sections of the society.
