According to the ministry, troops from the Southern Command will actively participate in the exercise to validate joint operations in diverse and challenging terrain including creeks and desert areas as well as amphibious operations off the Saurashtra coast.
The Defense Ministry on Sunday announced the launch of the tri-service exercise ‘X Trishul’ to be conducted in close coordination with the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. The exercise aims to showcase the country’s growing emphasis on UN, Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) and innovation in military operations. According to the ministry, troops from the Southern Command will actively participate in the exercise to validate joint operations in diverse and challenging terrain including creeks and desert areas as well as amphibious operations off the Saurashtra coast.
The large-scale exercise will also focus on effective utilization of indigenous defense systems and refinement of tactics, techniques and procedures to deal with emerging threats and the evolving nature of modern warfare.
Officials said the exercise underlines India’s commitment to enhance interoperability among its armed forces while strengthening preparedness for future war scenarios.
