India block floor leaders to meet OP Sindoor discussion in Lok Sabha on Monday

Leaders of the floor of India block parties will meet to discuss the strategy for the second week of the monsoon session at 10 am on Monday, slate with the Lok Sabha to discuss Operation Sindor on Monday and the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to start a discussion on Operation Sindhur in Lok Sabha on Monday.

A deadlock on opposition demands to discuss the issues being raised by him was broken on Friday after an all-party meeting. The government is telling that it is ready to discuss the operation sindoor and other issues under the rules and the permission of the chair.

Sources said that Home Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Nishikant Dubey are expected to participate in the discussion in the Lok Sabha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to intervene in the discussion in the Lok Sabha. He can also interfere in the discussion in Rajya Sabha.

Sources said that the discussion on Operation Sindoor will begin in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

Sources said that Rajnath Singh and Jaishankar will join the ministers who will participate in the discussion in the Rajya Sabha.

TDP’s Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu and GM Harish Balaryagi are expected to participate in the discussion on OP Sindoor in the Lok Sabha. Sources said that the party has been allotted 30 minutes. From the Samajwadi Party, its chief, Akhilesh Yadav, and MP Rajiv Rai will participate in the debate.

“All issues cannot be discussed simultaneously … Opposition has raised many issues like special intensive amendment (sir) exercises in Bihar and others. We have told them that Operation Sindoor will be discussed first. We will decide which issues will be discussed after that.

Opposition parties have demanded a discussion on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor and have repeatedly demanded the government’s clarification over the claims of US President Donald Trump that they have broke a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

Opposition parties demanded the presence of PM Modi during the debate. Since PM Modi traveled abroad on a two-nation trip this week, the discussion has been scheduled for next week.

Rijiju also said that the speed of removing justice Yashwant Verma, whose burn of cash burnt from residence was recovered after the fire, will be taken first in the Lok Sabha, according to the rules. He said that removing Nyaya Verma should be a joint decision.

“We are trying about Justice Yashwant Verma’s case. We have clearly stated that this is not only the efforts of the government, but the entire Parliament is responsible for addressing the issue of corruption in the judiciary and removing judges from the Supreme Court or High Court. We should not be divided on this issue.”

Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of double standards in his perspective for judicial matters, especially about Justice Verma and Justice Yadav.

Singhvi accused the BJP of “selective resentment and silence” on the issues around these two judges and alleged that the BJP’s actions are more operated by optics than the actual commitment to the law.

In December, opposition parties in the Rajya Sabha gave a notice notice related to judicial Yadav deals on their controversial speech given by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Singhvi, who addressed a press conference, accused the BJP of “double standards” about judicial justification, anti -corruption movement and judicial accountability, saying that his actions do not match his words.

Opposition parties are demanding a discussion on the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar and India’s foreign policy. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have seen repeated adjournment since the onset of the monsoon session of Parliament on 21 July, with very few businesses in both houses.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called an all-party meeting on Friday to end the deadlock.
Before postponing the House amid the slogans by opposition members on Friday, Birla urged him to allow the House to function normally. He objected to the opposition members who displayed the banners.

He said that the deadlock is not good. “Come, there will be a discussion to end the deadlock. There will also be representatives of the government … If there is disagreement, it should be expressed according to the norms of the House,” he said. (AI)
