Mr Khan, 71, is being held in the high-security Adiala prison in Rawalpindi. Both were sentenced to years in prison in the Toshakhana expensive gift case and the iddat case that declared their marriage un-Islamic.
PKR also expressed concerns last month about the health of the jailed leader’s wife. The party claimed there was a “serious threat” to her life and that Pakistani authorities refused to provide her with medical assistance.
