Srinagar, July 23, KDC: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, VK Burdy, IPS, chaired a high-level meeting in PCR Kashmir to review the security arrangements for the upcoming programs organized by the National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) and Kashmir University.
The meeting was attended by Digs CKR Srinagar, Dig Armed Kashmir, CRPF North and South Range Digs, Director SSF, SSP Srinagar, SSP Traffic Srinagar, Commanding Officer AP 5th, SP East, SP South, SP Hazratabal, as well as Nodal Officers, BSF Nodal Officers, along with senior officials.
IGP Kashmir emphasized the need for increased vigilance to ensure a safe environment for NLSA events, aims to promote legal awareness and improve access to justice. He also underlined the importance of comprehensive safety measures for KU alumni meat – a reputed event that promotes academic and professional engagement.
He directed the officials to increase the surveillance around major places and implement effective traffic management schemes to ensure smooth movement for the attendees and the general public.
VK Burdi reiterated that both the events of NLSA and the alumni of the University of Kashmir have great importance, and confirmed the commitment to provide a safe and safe environment for all participants.
The meeting concluded with an integrated resolution between all officers to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of both events. (KDC)
