Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) pacer Mayank Yadav has impressed everyone with his raw pace in this season’s Indian Premier League (IPL). He clocked a speed of 156.7 km/h and bowled the fastest pitch in the ongoing competition, and overall the fourth-fastest pitch in the entire history of the tournament. In two matches so far, Mayank has taken 6 wickets to help LSG win back-to-back matches after losing the first match. Just two games later, several current and former cricketers have backed the 21-year-old to play for India in the coming months, including former England captain Michael Vaughan.
Warne said it would be a good thing for Mayank and India if the pacers are allowed to play in the county season.
Warne posted on X: “It will be good for Mayank Yadav and the Indian Cricket Board if they allow him to play for a county this summer.”

In the match against RCB, Mayank took brilliant figures of 3/14, which earned him his second consecutive Man of the Match award.
“I feel really good, winning both POTM awards, but I’m even happier that we won the two games. My goal is to play for India as much as possible. So I feel like this is just the beginning and my main goal is what I’m focusing on ‘s going on,” Mayank said in his post-match speech.
Mayank has a reputation for constantly breaking the 150 km/h mark. The 151 km/h shot stunned Maxwell, luring him into the pull and forcing his way over the top edge, sending him walking back to the dressing room to score two goals and finish 16th of the game.
The Delhi player became the sixth bowler in the IPL to take three wickets in two consecutive games.
The match started with LSG posting a fine score of 181/5 after Quinton de Kock scored 81 runs off 56 deliveries.
In response, RCB struggled to forge a meaningful partnership, leading to their downfall and ultimately a 28-match losing streak for the home team.
