Hundreds of Myanmar soldiers cross Indian border amid crisis, Mizoram Chief Minister seeks Centre’s intervention

With fighting escalating between rebel forces and the junta-regime in Myanmar, hundreds of army personnel have reportedly crossed the Indian border into the northeastern state of Mizoram over the past few days. The development came after the Arakan Army, an ethnic armed group in Rakhine state in western Myanmar, claimed control of a town on the border between India and Bangladesh, the latest loss for the military government.
