On Friday, January 19, 2024, Sarah Glad, a programme officer at the John William Pope Foundation and a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away. “For all of my NC State Delta Zeta’s, we lost a special soul yesterday in Sarah Lindh Glad,” a social media post announcing her death said. Please join me in sending her family and loved ones your thoughts and prayers.”Born on March 31, 1988, Sarah Lindh Glad was a graduate of NC State University and the adored daughter of her father, Ellen Lindh. In June 2021, Sarah became a part of the Pope Foundation. She is involved in various areas of the foundation’s giving as a programme officer, such as human services, higher education, and public interest law and legal research.

Before joining the Foundation, Sarah had policy and public affairs positions with State Senator Chuck Edwards, Treasurer Dale Folwell, and Governor Pat McCrory of North Carolina. As director of communications, Sarah also assisted in the founding of North State Journal, the state’s first and only newspaper. She is a John Locke Foundation 2020–2021 E.A. Morris Fellow. Sarah, a native of High Point, graduated from NC State University with a master’s degree in liberal studies and a bachelor’s degree in communications. Along with her spouse, Robbie, and their son, she resides in Raleigh. She was her mother’s daughter beautiful and priceless. She put up an amazing fight and was a brilliant light. Her brightness will never go out.

Steven Schlink expressed his sorrow on social media with a statement that said, “This is heartbreaking.” Sarah possessed a contagious smile and a pleasant word to share with everyone. The best part of my day as an employee at the GA was always stopping by her office to say hello! We shall miss her.  This Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 7 p.m., there will be a memorial service for Sarah Lindh Glad at CrossPointe Community Church Knightdale, 1001 Steeple Square Ct., Knightdale, NC 27545.
