Never before seen photos and videos, Released Wednesday by Democrats on the House Oversight CommitteeReveal details of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s estate is on his infamous private island,
A group of excavated paintings shows a dentist’s chair in one room, with decorative masks of bald men’s faces on the walls, as well as a chalkboard with the words “power”, “deception” and “music” in another room.
The other has a large shower room filled with compartments for towels and blankets.
“Oversight Dems have obtained never-before-seen photos and video of Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, a chilling look behind Epstein’s closed doors,” the Democrats wrote on X. Provide justice to the survivors.”
The new photos and video were taken on Epstein’s island in the Caribbean, where he recruited women to be part of his sex-trafficking ring. The House released him on the same day that members of Congress demanded answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi about when the Trump administration would release the full Epstein files. Congress passed — and President Donald Trump signed into law — a bill requiring the release of the complete files in 30 days, which would happen on Friday.
In a letter to Bondi, Received by NBC NewsLawmakers are asking the attorney general to clarify whether the Justice Department can meet the 30-day deadline to release the files if they find “any new evidence, information or procedural barriers.”
In total, Oversight Committee Democrats uploaded 10 photos and four videos, showing some of the interior and exterior of the lavish property. Epstein, once a wealthy financier, invested millions in Little St. James, an island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which he used as a private getaway – where he brought underage girls and young women to the island for sexual exploitation.
Videos from the property show palm trees scattered across the vast property, surrounding several smaller buildings. In one of the videos, a helipad can be seen located near a large in-ground pool. A paved walkway from the pool leads visitors to the beach.
Interior photos show two large bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, an office and a large shower room.
In the large shower room, bins filled with towels and extra linens line the wall.
In the walkthrough video of the bedrooms and their surrounding bathrooms, some personal touches are visible other than bottles of skin care products.
The photo file also includes close-up photos that reveal intriguing, but incomprehensible, details. One depicts a landline telephone with the first names listed on the speed dial button: Darren, Rich, Mike, Patrick and Larry. Several other names on the phone’s directory appear to be censored.
Another detailed photo shows a chalkboard, located in Epstein’s office, with various single words written on it, including “power,” “deception,” “truth,” and “music.”
Some writing on the chalkboard is also censored. A Democratic Committee Aide told CNN Any women’s names were omitted out of abundance of caution.
Independent Comment has been sought from the Justice Department.
Democratic Representative Robert Garcia, ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, said they planned to release the documents and files “as soon as we get them.”
“Survivors deserve justice and the truth. We need the Justice Department to release all files.” Garcia wrote.
are house democrats Release of documents and files related to the government’s investigation into Epstein As part of an effort to bring transparency over Epstein’s alleged relationships with high-profile individuals.
Trump spent part of his 2024 campaign promising to release more information about the Epstein case. The disgraced financier died by suicide inside a New York City jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges. His death has given rise to many conspiracies as people believe there is more to his case and death than has been publicly released. Epstein had ties to several prominent celebrities and politicians, including both Trump and former President Bill Clinton – neither of whom have been accused of wrongdoing.
Bondi said at the beginning of Trump’s return to the White House that the Epstein files and his so-called “client list” were on his desk for review. But she later backtracked and announced in July that no new information would be released.
This sparked outrage among the MAGA base and several prominent MPs broke with the President demanding the release of the files.
Trump dismissed the requests as a Democrat-led “fraud.” He held out until it became clear that the House of Representatives had enough support to force a vote. After this Trump hit back and said that the files should be released.
After passing in the House and Senate, Trump ultimately signed the legislation on November 19 – giving the Justice Department a 30-day deadline to release the documents. The law allows Bondy to make cuts to protect the identity of survivors, national security or the ongoing investigation. It is unclear whether any waivers will delay the release by the deadline.
