Honor Magic 6 series, Honor Magic V2 series world premiere at MWC 2024

The Honor Magic 6 series and Honor Magic V2 series made their international debut today (February) during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 event in Barcelona. The latest Magic 6 series smartphones run MagicOS 8.0 skin based on Android 14 and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. On the other hand, the Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphone comes with Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 interface and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Honor Magic 6 series has an LTPO OLED display and triple rear cameras. They are rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. Both the Honor Magic 6 series and the Honor Magic V2 series have been launched in the Chinese market.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is priced at EUR 1,299 (approximately Rs. 1,16,600) for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. The product will be available for pre-order on February 25th and will be available for sale on March 1st.

The Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic V2 RSR are priced at EUR 2,699 (approximately Rs. 2,42,000) for the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant. They will be available for pre-order on February 25th and will be available in Europe from March 18th.

Honor Magic 6, Honor Magic 6 Pro specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro run the MagicOS 8.0 interface based on Android 14 and feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ (1,264×2,800 pixels) OLED display with a refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Both models are powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro comes with a triple rear camera unit, including a 180-megapixel 2.5x periscope telephoto camera with support for optical image stabilization (OIS) and 100x digital zoom. The camera unit also features a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/2.0, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. It has a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 3D depth sensor on the front.

Honor Magic 6 Pro is equipped with a 5600mAh battery and supports 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. Honor Magic 6 is equipped with a 5450mAh battery and supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Honor Magic V2 made its debut during IFA 2023 in September last year. Subsequently, the company teamed up with Porsche Design to launch a special edition foldable phone – Honor Magic V2 RSR, with a unique design and Porsche Onyx gray tone. Both Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic V2 RSR run MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. They feature a 6.43-inch cover OLED display and a 7.92-inch inner OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. They are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Their thickness is 9.9 mm.
