Honda NX500 deliveries start in India, here’s how to book

Launched last month at a starting price of Rs 5.90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), Honda has finally started accepting official bookings for the tech-heavy NX500.

Interested customers can book or purchase motorcycles on the CBU route from authorized dealers. The same operation can also be completed online through Honda’s official website.

The vehicle has been launched as a replacement for the CB500X in the ADV range. It was unveiled at EICMA 2023 last year, giving all the enthusiasts an overview of this feature-packed two-wheeler.

Honda NX500 engine and power

Let’s talk about the powertrain first, it is equipped with a trustworthy 471cc parallel twin engine. The unit is said to produce maximum power of 47 bhp at 8,600 rpm and peak torque of 43 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The power unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

What’s so special about it?

To make it stand out in the segment, the motorcycle comes with some powerful technology. It now features crank weights and a balance shaft, allowing riders to experience less vibration when going crazy on the throttle.

The bike is designed to perform well on a variety of terrains, and the single seating arrangement provides a smooth ride every mile.

In terms of comfort and handling, it features a 41mm Showa inverted fork at the front and a monotube shock absorber at the rear. On the braking system, the vehicle is controlled by dual-channel ABS.

The front wheels are equipped with 296 mm brake discs and the rear wheels are equipped with 240 mm brake discs. The vehicle now features stylish lightweight alloy wheels that unleash great stability on the road.
