‘Historic moment’: Akshay Kumar shares stunning photos of UAE’s first Hindu temple

In a historic development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. This massive religious building was built by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Vivek Oberoi and Shankar Mahadevan were also present at the event. After the consecration ceremony, Akshay Kumar shared a mesmerizing picture of the Hindu temple on social media. The actor called it a “historic moment” and expressed gratitude for being a part of the occasion. His post was accompanied by a caption that read: “Honoured to be a part of the inauguration of BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Abu Dhabi. What a historic moment!!”

Akshay Kumar chose a white and gold kurta for the grand occasion. The 56-year-old star was surrounded by his security detail as he walked towards his installation.

Social media users were quick to focus on the comment box of Akshay Kumar’s post. One user called Akshay “my favorite star” while another said, “This is the beauty of sanatan dharam.” One person mentioned, “Historic day for everyone… ” One comment also read, “Thank you for sharing your memories there…I hope you enjoyed it…Akshay Ji.” Many others expressed their love for Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’.

Grammy winner Shankar Mahadevan, who was also present at the event, shared his joy over this “historic moment” and told ANI: “This is a great moment for India and the world. It is an extremely happy moment for all Indians. It is a historic moment in our lives that we will witness such a majestic and spiritual temple coming to a land like Abu Dhabi. Only our Prime Minister Na It took Rendra Modi to execute this. I want to thank the entire Swaminarayan family for bearing with me.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the first Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi, described it as a symbol of humanity’s common heritage. The global leader also thanked the UAE for writing a new golden chapter in human history.

The BAPS temple was built on 27 acres of land in Abu Mreikhah, near Al Rahba near the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway, PTI reported. The temple was constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 700 crore. The Prime Minister pointed out that this is the age of “Amrit Kal” not only for India but also for our faith and culture.
