'He's a real estate developer, for God's sake': Former adviser Jobs Trump

The former US national security adviser (NSA) sharply criticized former US President Donald Trump, saying he had “no brains” to lead a dictatorship, the Daily Telegraph reported.

John Bolton, an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, served as the former president’s National Security Agency director from April 2018 to September 2019.

In a conversation with French media outlet Le Figaro, Bolton was asked whether Trump has tendencies similar to those of dictators whom Trump has previously praised.

In response to the question, the 75-year-old not only mocked Trump’s intellectual abilities but also belittled his professional background.

“People don’t believe it,” Mr Bolton said, according to The Telegraph on Friday. [Joe Biden]. I don’t know either, because it’s not true! First, let’s be clear about the possibility of overthrowing the (American) Republic: Donald Trump is not Julius Caesar! “

When asked if he thought Trump had Julius Caesar-like authoritarian tendencies, John Bolton exclaimed: “He has no brains! Oh my god, he’s a real estate developer!”

It’s important to note that Bolton’s comments came months after Trump said he would only act like a dictator on “day one” if he returned to the Oval Office.

As early as December 2023, American writer Sean Hannity asked Trump in an interview in Iowa: “Tonight, you promised the United States that under no circumstances will you Abuse of power to get revenge on anyone?”

“Except for day one,” Trump replied. The former president reiterated his claim. “I love this guy,” he said of Sean Hannity.

Trump added, “He said, ‘You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?’ I said, ‘No, no, no, except on day one. We’re closing the borders, we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. From then on, I was no longer a dictator.”

According to the Guardian, Trump’s announcement means he will use presidential powers to close the southern border with Mexico and expand oil drilling.

At the same time, John Bolton added in an interview with Le Figaro, “I think if he is re-elected, he will probably leave NATO. When Trump has an idea, he will do it again and again You come back to the idea and then get distracted and forget about it, but eventually you come back to the idea and act on it. That’s why leaving NATO is a real possibility. A lot of people think it’s just a negotiating tool, but I don’t think so.”
