Hero Maverick 440 launched in India, price starts at Rs 1.99 lakh

After launching its latest motorcycle, the Maverick 440, last month, Hero has finally launched a much-awaited motorcycle in India. Its price starts at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant.

The bike is available in three models including base, mild and top-of-the-range. Interested customers can book the vehicle from any authorized dealer. To make the operation easier and more convenient, you can also complete the same operation online through Hero’s official website. Deliveries are likely to start in April.

To attract more customers, the company has also launched an offer called ‘Welcome to Maverick Club’, under which customers who book the bike before March 15 will get a free Maverick kit worth Rs 10,000.

When it comes to the design, it feels like the company took inspiration from the Harley-Davidson X440. It has an aggressive road appearance with a muscular fuel tank and round LED headlight units paired with LED daytime running lights with stylish small-sized turn signals. Base models get the spoked wheel treatment, while top-end models get stylish alloy wheels.

The roadster comes with a single seating arrangement that provides great comfort to both rider and passenger while covering the distance. The Bluetooth-enabled motorcycle also comes with a fully digital instrument cluster that enables customers to monitor important details such as revs, fuel capacity, speed, gear, time, and more.

For added convenience, it also comes with a USB-C port to help riders charge supported devices on the go.

Engine and power

At the heart of the Mavrick 440 is powered by a 440cc single-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 27 hp and 36 Nm. The unit comes with a 6-speed transmission. This is the same setup used in the Harley-Davidson X440.
