Hema Malini ‘supportive’ of daughter Esha Deol’s divorce; insider says ‘it’s been brewing for a while’

Days after Esha Deol announced her separation from husband Bharat Takhtani, it has now been revealed that their divorce did not come as a surprise to anyone in the family as the divorce was “already It’s been brewing for a while.” If recent reports are to be believed, Esha and Bharat decided to part ways long ago and were just waiting for the right time to announce the news.

“It’s been brewing for a while. Aisha and her husband have decided to separate for a while. They were just waiting for the right moment to announce their split. Now, that’s all behind it and Esha is trying to move on with her life,” an insider told Zoom.

Sources further claim that Aisha’s mother, veteran actress Hema Malini, supports her daughter’s decision but does not want to talk about it. “She certainly will not comment on her daughter’s decision to divorce her husband. This is Aisha’s life and Hemaji will not interfere. She never has. She is with her daughter now, as always. But Hemaji is not responsible for her daughter’s actions .” The insider added.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani announced their separation earlier this month after 11 years together. The pair released a joint statement revealing they had decided to part ways “mutually and amicably”. “We have mutually decided to part ways amicably. The best interests and well-being of our two children are of the utmost importance to us through this transition in our lives. We hope that our privacy will be respected,” their statement read.

Esha and Bharat got married in 2012. The two have daughters Radhya and Miraya, aged six and four respectively. Rumors of Aisha and Bharat’s separation have been making headlines for quite some time now. It all started when the latter skipped mother-in-law Hema Malini’s birthday party last year. He also didn’t see Elsa’s birthday celebration.
