Heat health alert has been extended in most parts of England after the fourth summer heatwave.
The UK’s Health Protection Agency said the yellow warning would now be on the Yorkshire and Hambara, East and West Midlands, London, south east and south west and east of England on Monday, August 18, 6 pm on August 18.
Warnings mean that significant effects on health and social care services are possible due to high temperatures, including a possible increase in deaths between the elderly or people with health conditions.
The alerts were earlier due to ending at 6 pm on Wednesday.
