Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his entire cabinet resigned on Tuesday morning as the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-JJP alliance Differences arose over the distribution of seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Nayab Singh Saini, the Kurukshetra MP of the BJP, will be the new chief minister. Sources said the BJP will rely on seven independent MLAs and five MLAs who are expected to form the government from across the aisle from the BJP.

Kurukshetra MP and OBC leader Nayab Singh Saini will become the new chief minister of Haryana after ML Khattar and his entire cabinet tendered their resignations. Mr Saini was appointed as the state president of the Haryana BJP in October last year.

JJP Haryana President Nishan Singh arrived at Dushyant Chautala’s farmhouse to attend a meeting. Dushyant Chautala, Nayana Chautala and Ajay Singh Chautala are already in it. JJP spokesperson Arvind Bhardwaj said his party will contest all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
