As wintry weather conditions continue over north India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said “cold day to severe cold day” conditions are likely to continue over the region during the next two days and intensify thereafter. There will be a decrease.

In its daily bulletin, the weather forecasting agency said “minimum temperatures” range between 3-5 degrees Celsius over parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh and north-west Uttar Pradesh, 6-10 degrees Celsius over many parts of Punjab, Haryana. Chandigarh, Delhi, South Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, North-East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar.

“It is 3-5 degrees Celsius below normal over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, North Haryana, Rajasthan and parts of West Madhya Pradesh and normal over rest of North India. Today, the lowest minimum temperature of 1.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Meerut (West Uttar Pradesh),” the IMD said.

IMD has further predicted that cold day to severe cold day conditions are likely to continue over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday, in some parts on Thursday and at isolated places on Friday and Saturday. Is.

Similar conditions are likely to continue in different parts of western Rajasthan on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Cool day to severe cold day conditions are likely to continue over isolated areas of Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan on Tuesday and cold day conditions are likely to persist over isolated areas on Wednesday. “Cool day to severe cold day conditions are likely to continue over isolated parts of Bihar on Tuesday and cold day conditions are likely to persist over isolated areas for the next four days,” the IMD said.

The IMD said cold wave conditions are likely over isolated parts of North Rajasthan during Tuesday and Thursday and over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Ground frost conditions are likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday,” the IMD said.
