During a memorial event in Los Angeles, Harrison Ford remembered the late Jimmy Buffett and told interesting anecdotes about the iconic musician.

Ford took the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday as part of a concert titled “Keeping the Party On: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett.”

Recalling a memorable lunch with Buffett and journalist Ed Bradley, Ford recalled the moment fondly, calling it a “long,” perhaps “boozy” affair that coincided with Bradley’s birthday.

He told how he was inspired to get his ears pierced after noticing both Buffett and Bradley were wearing earrings.

“It’s contagious enough to make a 40-year-old man spontaneously get his ears pierced,” he said, underscoring the lasting impact of Buffett’s charisma.

Ford described Buffett as a kind and well-liked man and emphasized the musician’s strong ties to family, friends, band, crew and collaborators.

The tribute concert featured performances by famous artists such as Paul McCartney, The Eagles, Bon Jovi, Dave Grohl and Jon Bon Jovi.
