Gujarat: PM Modi meets Loan Survivor of AI -171 flight crash, others injured in Ahmedabad Hospital

PM Modi posted on X, “I visited the accident site in Ahmedabad today. The scene of the devastation is sad. Officers and teams made tireless efforts. Our views remain with those who lost their loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy.”

He also posted, “We are all destroyed by the air tragedy in Ahmedabad. The loss of life of so many people in such a sudden and heartbreaking manner is beyond the words. All the condolences for bereaved families. We understand their pain and also know that the remaining zero will be felt for the coming years. Om Shanti.”

Shah said that there was no chance to save anyone in the London-Bound Air India plane accident due to high temperatures due to the burning of about 125,000 liters of fuel in the aircraft.

Expressing condolences to the family members of those killed, Shah said that the exact number of deaths would be officially released only after DNA tests. Shah revealed that about 1000 DNA tests have been done so far.

“The aircraft ran around 125,000 liters of fuel, and due to high temperatures, there was no chance to save anyone …” I visited the accident site, “the Home Minister told the media persons.

The Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation is a division of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to investigate aircraft accidents in India.

A formal inquiry has been launched by the Air India Flight 171 by the Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (AAIB) in which 241 people were killed, in which the Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu confirmed on Thursday.
