Government makes GST-Linked Bank Account compulsory for e-tending

Jammu, July 8: In a step to increase transparency and ensure better trekking of financial transactions, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has made it mandatory for all suppliers and contractors participating in the e-tending process to disclose their GST-Linked Bank Account details.
According to a spherical, departments should ensure that payment is made only in a bank account that is associated with the successful bidder’s GST number.
The move aims to prevent revenue loss and ensure compliance with GST rules. All departments and agencies have been instructed to update their tender documents immediately.
