Google’s Circle to Search was launched with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series in January this year. This comes alongside a few other AI-powered features like real-time translation and note-taking assistance. However, later that month, as the Pixel feature dropped in January, the tech giant brought the feature to Pixel 8 models. In early March, the company also extended the feature to the Pixel 7 series. Now, Google has announced that more Android phones will be able to use the Circle to Search tool.
The Mountain View-based search giant comfirmed The feature is “currently rolling out to more Android devices.” The feature will start rolling out this week for Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet. It will also be available on the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
So far, Google’s Circle to Search feature has been rolled out on a number of flagship phones, including Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
Google also mentioned in the post that the “circle search” function can help users easily purchase specific styles or products. It can also help users when traveling abroad, especially those whose language is different from their native language, by instantly translating anything on the screen. All the user needs to do is long press on the home button or navigation bar and tap on the translate option.
The “Circle Search” feature allows users to search for anything instantly without having to switch apps with a few gestures. Users can circle, doodle, highlight or click on anything on the screen, such as an image, part of an image or text, and select search options. Not only does it provide information faster, but powered by generative artificial intelligence, it can help conduct more complex research.
