Bost, a 29-year-old teacher at Concord Middle School in North Carolina, was involved in a deadly vehicle accident on Sunday, January 21, 2024, according to a friend Tessa Holmes Kluttz, who posted the information on Facebook. Kluttz wrote an emotional remembrance of the late teacher and included a link to a GoFundMe campaign set up by local Lindsey Swanger to help Bost’s family with unanticipated burial expenses. She praised the late teacher as a great educator and an inspiring mentor.

The page said, “We are all devastated by Kendall’s loss and no one is ever prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.” It has donated more than $6,100, exceeding the original $5,000 goal. Before starting to teach at Concord Middle School in 2022, Kendall Bost, an Appalachian State University alumnus, received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government in 2018.
