Jaipur, October 3 (IANS) Former Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Girraj Prasad Tiwari died at the age of 105.
Leaders including Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over Tiwari’s death and praised his magnificent public life, knowledge and permanent spirit.
Born in 1920, Tiwari contributed significantly to law and public service. During his long career, he served as Pradhan, District Head, two -time MLA and Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from 1986 to 1990.
He also took over the post of deputy speaker from 29 March 1985 to 31 January 1986 and was a member of the Assembly’s Home Committee and Privilege Committee.
Tiwari was widely respected for his balanced, iconic view of his knowledge and politics of parliamentary traditions. His life is remembered as a model of integrity, public service and the development of Rajasthan.
Tiwari’s funeral will be held on Friday in his native village Bidri, Bayana, where family, friends and political leaders will pay their final honors.
Condolences from various social and political figures have been expressed, which highlighted many with the loss of an experienced and inspiring personality of Rajasthan.
Gehlot expressed deep grief over the death of former Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha Speaker Tiwari.
In a statement, Gehlot said, “The news of the death of former assembly speaker Girraj Prasad Tiwari is deeply sad. Tiwari lived a wonderful life till the age of 105. Even at this age, his vibrancy and memory pleased all of us.
Tiwari, known for her exemplary public service and surrender to parliamentary traditions, served as the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and surpassed the legacy of integrity and commitment to the state.
Gehlot’s tribute highlighted the respect and praise of respect and praise in political and social circles in Rajasthan.
