'Gentle, kind souls': Tribute to British friends found dead in Portugal

Tributes have been paid to two British friends who died during the holiday Portugal,

Friends paid tribute to the pair as “soft, kind spirits, who came to light in every room”.

Mo and King were “like men whom you never hear a bad word because there was no one,” said the goofundme.

“They were deeply dedicated to their families, their friends and their beliefs. And now, all this is so suddenly and so wrong.”

Their families are now facing a repatriation cost of more than £ 10,000, including the Gofundme page, legal paperwork, funeral care and transport in the UK abroad.

Funderizer said that sudden damage, combined with financial burden, is struggling to cope with them.

“We are asking under our hearts to help you,” friends wrote on the page raising money. “Every donation, no matter how big or small it is, will go directly to their families to cover the cost of bringing Mo and King home and support them during this time of unimaginable grief.”

“Your light will never fade,” a tribute was added. “Relax in peace.”
