In the women’s events on Friday, Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour became her country’s first world champion with an impressive performance on her specialist apparatus, the uneven bars, finishing one point ahead of second-place Angelina Melnikova with a huge score of 15.566. Melnikova added to her all-around gold tally on Thursday by winning gold in the vault final.
