The black stone idol, created by Mysore sculptor Arun Yogiraj, is a five-year-old image of Lord Rama and is 51 inches tall. Yogiraj has earlier installed the famous statues of Ali Shankaracharya at Kedarnath and Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate in Delhi.
