Four drug pedals arrested in large quantities in Budgam

In the continuity of its constant efforts to combat drug trafficking, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday intensified their cracks on drugs and caught four drug pedals in the Chadurra area of ​​Budgam district.

A significant amount of contradicted substances have been recovered during the operation.

A spokesperson said that while working on specific and reliable information, the police station Chadura got a tip-off about a person, ie Mohammad Ashraf Pare (son of Ghulam Ahmed Parre), a tip-off about Chadura, a resident of Bagam, who had allegedly hidden a large amount of consumption straws in his cow.

On receiving this information, a police team of police station Chadura under the supervision of Nagam, an executive magistrate 1st class (NT), discovered the identified location. During the search, 76 kg and 540 grams of semi-ground popy straw and 4 kg and 290 grams of powder were found to be finely ground poppy seeds (usually known as Fukki). The contraband was sealed in seven parcels and seized on the spot as per the appropriate process.

Four persons involved in the commission of crime were arrested on the spot. He has been identified as Muzaffar Ahmed Dar, son of Uldin Dar, Resident of Ghat Tokna, Avavantpora, Mohammad Ismail Dar son, resident of Ghat Tokna, Avwantpora, Sajad Ahmed Guru, Gaum Aziz Gurwa, Awaram’s son, Pare, Bugam’s resident, Chadora.

Accordingly, a case FIR number 108/2025 has been registered at Police Station Chadura under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act, and investigation is going on.
