Islamabad:

The party of jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday demanded the establishment of a judicial commission to investigate allegations by a senior bureaucrat that the electoral body and the top judicial body were involved in vote-rigging.

Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta claimed on Saturday that candidates who “lost” the elections were “destined to win” in the city. Before resigning, he claimed that 13 candidates from Rawalpindi were forcibly declared the winners.

His comments came as jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party began nationwide protests over alleged manipulation and theft of power in the February 8 election.

“I take responsibility for all these malpractices and tell you that the chief election commissioner and the chief justice are also fully involved,” Liaquat Ali Chatta said.

Liaquat Ali Chattha resigned after “taking responsibility” for rigging poll results.

Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Gohar Ali Khan said on Sunday that the party demanded the establishment of a judicial commission to investigate allegations of “rigged election results” and share the investigation report with the country.

Gohar Ali Khan said Liaquat Ali Chatta’s allegations corroborated what the party had been saying all along.

“This is the first time a committee member has spoken out with his conscience. He said he made sure the losing candidate won and the winning candidate lost. This confirms what we have been saying.”

“That’s why Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is demanding a judicial commission and an inquiry. Not just an inquiry, but those [involved] They should be made to join the investigation,” he said, adding that such investigation reports should also be shared with the people.

Gohar Ali Khan also said that the party is not demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa.

He claimed that when people responded to the call of 71-year-old Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan and went to polling stations in large numbers, they were trying to prevent the party from participating in the electoral arena.

“We won 180 seats in the National Assembly, 42 seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, 115 seats in Punjab and 16 seats in Sindh,” he said. Won 4 seats in Balochistan Assembly.”

Gohar Ali Khan added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had won one seat in Balochistan and three more seats were expiring. “In Sindh, we did not get a single seat, they have all expired. In Punjab, around 50 seats have expired,” he said.

The party’s prime ministerial candidate Omar Ayub Khan said at a press conference that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will form a government in the center and provinces.

He said judicial investigations should involve independent judges. Ayub added: “Those named by the Commissioner Rawalpindi should not be part of this investigation.”

Earlier in the day, the spokesperson of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Raja and Chief Justice Isa after Liaquat Ali Chatta exposed the matter.

Meanwhile, the ECP launched an investigation into the allegations against Liaquat Ali Chattha, who has now been transferred to the Services and General Administration Department (SGAD) in Lahore.

The government also appointed Anwar Jappa as the new commissioner of Rawalpindi district.

The division is often called the “Marshal’s Belt” because the bulk of the country’s military comes from these areas.

Earlier in the day, the party held a parliamentary committee meeting, at which party leader Ali Muhammad Khan told reporters that the party was stripped of its emblem and most of its leaders were in jail at the time of the election, but people still The vote was given to the party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

“Today we hear voices from the same place [Rawalpindi] There we are deprived of our mission. The Rawalpindi Commissioner has given evidence in our favour. We were deprived of 80 seats,” he said.

He said he, along with Sardar Latif Khosa, met the jailed party founder Mr Khan on Friday.

Ali said: “Imran Khan told us that he will forgive everyone just like the Holy Prophet Muhammad did after Fateh Mecca. He also cited Nelson Mandela as an example and said he would not Will take revenge on anyone.”

Meanwhile, the PPP is demanding an investigation into the allegations. However, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) raised questions over Liaquat Ali Chatta’s mental condition.

PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah said in an interview with Dunya News that Liaquat Ali Chattha seems to be a psychopath and this is The reason he claimed he attempted suicide.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi said in a video statement that Pakistan is going through a very sensitive era and the new parliament is about to be formed.

Even after more than a week has passed, the European Communist Party has not informed the victory of the majority of independent candidates who won parliamentary seats in the general election.

The European Communist Party’s delay in formally announcing the election results for most independent candidates has raised concerns among voters and stakeholders as the central government engages in a political row over the numbers game of forming a government.

Under electoral rules, independent candidates have three days to join a party after they are officially declared victorious; so far, the ECP has announced results for 154 of the total 265 contested National Assembly constituencies held in the February 8 elections.

Independent candidates – mostly backed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party – won 93 of the 265 National Assembly seats up for grabs in the February 8 election.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s two main rivals appear to be in the process of forming a post-poll alliance last week after former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Muslim League and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s PPP formed a post-poll alliance. Form a coalition government.

PML-N won 75 seats, while the PPP came in third with 54 seats. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) also agreed to support them with its 17 seats.

To form a government, a party must win 133 of the 265 contested seats in the 266-member National Assembly.
