According to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Bhat returned to the party during a ceremony held at Duck Bungalow here.
J&K Congress Committee President Tariq Hamid Karr and senior leaders Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma and others were present on the occasion.
Along with joining it, the Congress has gained a boost in the South Kashmir region, where the National Conference fielded the Lok Sabha as well as the assembly elections.
In the final assembly elections, Nekan won 10 out of 16 seats in the region, while the Congress and the People’s Democratic Party won two seats in each.
