The Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters received a distress call in 17:05 hours, after which the fire tender was sent in 17:06 hours. F&E headquarters, fire station Safa Kadal, and fire stations from the fire station Sh Por quickly gathered at the scene.
Swift action by fire fighting staff stopped the explosion from spreading further, limiting damage to the mosque roof and ensuring that the main structure remained intact.
