After playing the villain in ‘Tiger 3’ starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi is all set to star again in filmmaker Sujith’s upcoming film ‘OG’ Play the villain. Emraan recently spoke about the differences between Bollywood and South Indian film industries.

He told Times of India: “I never thought I would get into the South film industry. But it’s a great script and a great character. Sujith is a great director and he is doing A huge canvas to make this movie on.”

“We can learn a lot from the way southern films are made… I think southern filmmakers are more disciplined than us (Hindi films). Every penny they spend on their films shows on the screen. I Think we often spend our money on the wrong things in Hindi films and it doesn’t end up showing on the screen. Their films are deft in terms of visual effects, scale and choice of groundbreaking stories. Before we can relate to We still have some groundwork to do before we can match them, and we have a lot to learn from the way they make movies,” Emraan added.

However, Emraan does not want to be seen as a villain. “I think there’s a danger in finding a groove because it can get you stuck again. I hate that I’ve been boxed into certain roles for almost 15 years. I’ve made a conscious effort to step out of that box and try Something different because I wasn’t growing as an actor. I was sleepwalking through every game. That’s when I started doing films like Shanghai and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. It was actually a huge trap. .A lot of western actors might also give up on playing a role like Bond because sometimes you get stuck in a hole. They say it’s bad for your career because when you get out of the hole, people can’t see you as anyone else, “He said.
