“Election Commission has its own interest in addressing these questions”: Shashi Tharoor

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said on Monday that the credibility of the Election Commissions can be “re -acquired” until those “doubts” about the fairness of elections are removed as India block leaders march to oppose the Election Commission to oppose the Election Commission to oppose the Election Commission.

Tharoor, who joined the march, told ANI, “As long as there is doubt about the fairness of elections, the Election Commission is damaging the credibility of the Election Commission. By the time those doubts are removed, the credibility of the Election Commission can be re -achieved. The Election Commission has its own interest in addressing these questions.

The Delhi Police was seen stopping the MPs who were shouting slogans of “vote core”, as they marched towards the office of the pole body in the Election House. The protest march started with the Capricorn Butter of Parliament under the leadership of the Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi.

The MPs started their march to urge the EC to address their concerns on the alleged “voter theft”.
Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav, who was part of the protest march, said, “Our democracy is being questioned. In UP, the by-elections were held on 10 assembly seats; not only votes were stolen, but the booths were caught, but why did the Election Commission not take action against the officials who were working on the orders of the state government.”

RJD MP Manoj Jha said that Sir is a “fraud” and accused EC of not providing a classified data. “If you cannot meet MPs citing the excuse of space, then there is a comment in itself what kind of work you are doing … This (sir) is a fraud; you are not providing classified data.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has said that opposition MPs have not sought any permission for March.

Reacting to the police statement, Congress MP Imran Pratapgari said, “They never allow. They are using political language on the government’s instructions. Rahul Gandhi’s leadership will take out the entire opposition to March. They will try to stop us, but we will try our best to reach the EC office.”

Earlier, speaking about the march, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said, “Rahul is walking on Gandhiji’s path. He held a press conference, but the Election Commission is not ready to consider it; instead, it is asking for an affidavit. Everyone knows the Election Commission knows what is under pressure. Like Gandhi has marched for independence.” (AI)
