Dubai International Airport (DXB) has advised passengers not to travel to the airport unless absolutely necessary due to unprecedented weather conditions in the country.

Dubai Airports said in a statement that flights continued to be delayed and diverted. Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest information on flight status.

Dubai Airports has assured passengers that it is working hard to resume operations as soon as possible under extremely challenging conditions.

Likewise, Emirates has decided to suspend travel procedures for passengers departing from Dubai from 8:00 am on Wednesday, April 17, to midnight, April 18, due to operational challenges caused by adverse weather conditions and road conditions.

Emirates added that procedures for passengers arriving in Dubai and passengers in transit will continue.
