Amid the demand for change in school time, the government on Monday informed a new program for the functioning of schools in Kashmir Division with influence from Monday.
According to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in a notification, the Director of the School Education Kashmir (DSEK) said that schools coming under the municipal border of Srinagar district will work from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
DSEK further said that schools falling outside the municipal border of Srinagar will work from 9 am to 3 pm.
In the same way, on July -07, the government decided to reopen schools in Kashmir on July -08, which was after a 15 -day summer break.
Education Minister Sakina Itu had earlier said that schools under the Srinagar municipal border will work from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
He also said that schools outside the Srinagar municipal border will work from 8 am to 12 noon.
The minister further informed that the school would conduct two online classes to complete the course on time. “After a 1-hour break, 2 will follow online classes.”
