Continuing its efforts to counter drug abuse and smuggling, police arrested a drug pedaler in Handwara and recovered a contradiction substance from his possession.
The drug pedaler was arrested during a regular naka examination in the vet, under the jurisdiction of the police post Chogul and was identified as Ghulam Mohammed instead of Ashdullah’s son, but was a resident of Reshigund Dordon, Kupwara. Adequate amount of contribution material (popy straw/pope flakes) was recovered from their possession.
In this regard, a case under the relevant sections of the law, FIR No. 164/2025 has been registered at the police station and investigation has been initiated.
The J&K police is committed to the society to eradicate drug pedaling and appeals to the general public to expand cooperation by sharing any information related to drug activities in their areas.
