Three men who flooded Britain’s streets with millions of pounds worth of cocaine have been jailed.
Jonathan Cassidy, Nasar Ahmed and Jamie Cassidy have been detained since 2020 after law enforcement agencies destroyed a Arrested for sending messages over an encrypted phone system called EncroChat.
In total, they are believed to have imported nearly £26 million worth of cocaine into the UK, supplying users in northwest England, Birmingham and Leeds.
Information uncovered by Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Organized Crime Team revealed “kingpin” Jonathan Cassidy compared himself and his criminal enterprise to that of “El Chapo”.
The trio have been incarcerated for more than 51 years and the hunt for another suspect, Joshua Avis, is ongoing.
