Former US President Donald Trump provided an unexpected surprise for the recent total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. He shared a unique campaign video on Truth Social, the alternative tech social media platform owned by Trump Media & Technology Group. .
The video shows a thumbnail of Trump’s head shielded from the sun, with the caption: “The most important moment in human history is about to happen in 2024.”
The video shows a large group of people wearing protective glasses observing the celestial event. However, the video takes an unusual turn, with a giant silhouette of Donald Trump’s head replacing the moon, slowly approaching the sun. The crowd cheered as Trump’s distinctive hairstyle and eyebrows completely obscured his head from the sun. The overlay text read: “We will save America and make it great again.” This was followed by “Trump 2024.”

During the 2017 solar eclipse, former President Trump came under fire for ignoring safety guidelines and looking directly at the sun. Trump, accompanied by former first lady Melania Trump and then-son Barron, observed the rare event from the White House balcony. While both Barron and Melania Trump wore eclipse glasses for protection, Mr. Trump repeatedly viewed the eclipse without proper eye protection.
