According to Geo News, Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, died of poisoning in Banigala sub-jail, and personal doctor Asim Yusuf Asim Yousuf confirmed that he is undergoing a medical examination.

Dr Yusuf said no evidence was found during the examination that the former first lady had taken any toxic substances.

Dr Yusuf told Geo News: “Currently, there is no evidence that Bushra Bibi was poisoned.” He added, “We have not conducted any medical tests to determine whether Bushra Bibi took any toxic substances. , because no such symptoms were present.” was detected,” Geo News reported.

Doctors said Bushra Bibi’s health deteriorated after eating two months ago. However, he added that due to health issues, she started eating less food.

Yusuf said medical tests should take her age into consideration and check for any health problems, including stomach-related problems.

Furthermore, he also said that he will meet the jailed PTI founder on Saturday. Regarding Khan’s health, Dr Yusuf confirmed that the former prime minister’s condition has improved, noting that his appetite has not fully returned to normal after recovering from a minor illness.

Jailed former Prime Minister Khan informed the court on Tuesday that his wife was poisoned in Banigala sub-jail.

The PTI founder said this during the hearing of the $190 million settlement case at Adiala Prison in Rawalpindi. Khan told the accountability court judge that the former first lady had “marks of poisoning” on her skin and tongue.

He asked the court to order an investigation into the incident and a full medical examination of Bushra Bibi.

While interacting with reporters before appearing in court, the former first lady also claimed that “three drops of toilet cleaner” were mixed in her food on the eve of Shab-e-Meraj. She revealed that the food and water provided by the prison authorities were bitter.

In response to questions, Bushra said “someone” told her in prison that her food was laced with toilet cleaner. However, she declined to name the official.

“My eyes were swollen and I had pain in my chest and stomach,” the former first lady said.
