W.Ith ballots are now open for strike action, dispute over the salary of NHS doctors Tension between government and frontline medicsAnd the country is once again facing the possibility of disruption in the care of the patient.
The center of the Ro has a new government pay proposal: an average of 5.4 percent increase for resident doctors, earlier known as junior doctors, and £ 750 was a lump sum.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting has insisted that it is a step on a long “travel” to fix the payment and urged doctors to not derail progress when they reduce the NHS waiting list, warning that the strike should remain a “last measure”.
But the British Medical Association says that this proposal is very low. The actual period with paying more than 20 percent in 17 years, and with a record number of doctors leaving the profession, union leaders stressed that the time for half measures has ended.
While Mr. Streeting has admitted that NHS has treated doctors “like nonsense”, without real changes, many have argued that such acknowledgment ring has hollowed out.
Supporters of the strike say that enough: NHS cannot be rebuilt alone. Critics, meanwhile, fear that further walkouts risk damage to patients and reverse the hard-won profit in the waiting list.
