Did Marvel Just Confirm Taylor Swift Cameos in Deadpool and Wolverine?

“Deadpool and Wolverine” is one of the most anticipated movies of 2024. Marvel fans are waiting with bated breath for the “Deadpool” superhero trilogy, directed by Shawn Levy, to be released in theaters on July 25. Not only will Ryan Reynolds be suiting up for Deadpool aka Wade Wilson, but Hugh Jackman will also be reprising his iconic role as Wolverine aka Logan. Meanwhile, Marvel hinted at another speculated cast member in a recently posted poster for the movie on Facebook. She is none other than Taylor Swift.

A post from Marvel Australia on February 16 showed off three friendship bracelets in yellow and red colors, including one in a rainbow colour. The red bracelet is named “Deadpool” after the character’s red superhero costume, while the other bracelet has the word “Wolverine” emblazoned on it, reminiscent of Logan’s yellow superhero suit. This multi-colored bracelet features the movie’s release date and two pink hearts attached to either side of the string. “Good friends. July 25th. Wolverine and Deadpool,” the caption read.

Although there is no direct indication that Taylor Swift appears in the film, her fans (aka “Swifts”) have discovered a special connection between the poster and the singer. Swift is currently in Australia for her Eras Tour, where she has already completed three shows at the MCG. She will perform at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on February 23. According to some reports, Swifty has been making and exchanging beaded bracelets with each other during her ongoing world tour. In addition, Swift’s partner, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, presented her with a diamond bracelet.

Taylor Swift’s friendship with Ryan Reynolds and his wife, actress Blake Lively, also added fuel to the rumors. Swift and Lively even attended the 2024 Super Bowl 58 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. The trio’s banter on social media also proved their strong friendship. That being said, the antihero singer may be tapped to make special cameos in Deadpool and The Wolverine.

Last year, speculation about Taylor Swift starring in Deadpool and The Wolverine started spreading like wildfire. When Ryan Reynolds revealed in a video announcement that Hugh Jackman would be playing Wolverine, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the video was shot in the same house where Swift’s short film All Too Well was filmed.
