Delhi Court summons former Bihar CM Rabri Devi, daughter Misa Bharti in land-for-job case

A Delhi court took cognizance of the Enforcement Directorate’s charge sheet against former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her daughters Hema and Misa Yadav and others in a money laundering case related to land in exchange for railway jobs.

On Saturday, the court led by Special Judge Vishal summoned him on February 9 as it felt there were enough reasons to proceed with the case.

The judge also issued a production warrant against businessman Amit Katyal, who is currently in judicial custody in the case.

Katyal (49), an alleged “close associate” of the Yadav family, a railway employee and alleged beneficiary Hridayanand Chaudhary, two firms, AK Infosystems Pvt Ltd. Ltd. and AB Exports Pvt. Ltd., through their general director Sharikul Bari, has also been named in the charge sheet.

In this case, Katyal was arrested by the ED in November last year, while former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was summoned by the agency, but has not appeared yet.

However, his son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has already appeared before the agency. He has been asked to appear before it again.

The agency is expected to file a supplementary chargesheet in the case. The alleged scam dates back to the time when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister in the UPA-1 government.

The allegation is that from 2004 to 2009, several people were appointed to Group “D” posts in various areas of the Indian Railways and in return, these people gave their land in the form of bribes to the family members of the then Railway Minister and a related Transferred to the company. Whose name is AK Infosystems Private Limited.
