Delhi Class 12 girls chase mobile phone robbers

A Delhi Class 12 student chased and captured a robber who allegedly tried to escape with a mobile phone in northwest Delhi’s Keshav Puram area, police said on Tuesday. The motorcycle-riding robber escaped with the mobile phone of the girl, who was on her way to tutoring on Monday.

They said the victim raised the alarm and chased the robbers. In panic, the robber fell off the motorcycle and was captured with the help of passers-by. A senior police officer said the police have arrested the accused and registered a case against him.

The girl’s mobile phone was also recovered. The victim told police she was on her way to tutoring at about 3.45pm on Monday when the incident occurred. She was on the phone when the defendant took the phone away from her.
