Flight operations were disrupted at Delhi Airport due to heavy fog covering the entire city, and the weather was not suitable for flight plans. According to details shared by PTI, at least three flights were diverted at the airport on January 31, leaving all passengers anxious and angry.
It was also reported that bad weather also affected flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, leading to the postponement of multiple plans.
Where was the flight diverted?
Reports said more than four flights had been diverted away from their original destinations. This happened at a destination between 9.30 pm on Tuesday and 7 am on Wednesday, one of the flights had to go to Jaipur in Rajasthan and the other two flights later went to Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Mumbai in Maharashtra.
It is understood that arriving flights were canceled due to heavy fog. Adverse weather conditions also severely affected departure times and disrupted business for the day.

The authorities at Delhi Airport issued an advisory educating passengers on the same. “While Delhi Airport continues to take off and land, flights that do not meet CAT III standards may be affected. Passengers are asked to contact the relevant airlines for the latest flight information. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
