The fund, called ‘Continue Research’, will provide grants to researchers around the world who are exploring what Goyal described as “simple questions” in biology – ideas that challenge the complexity of existing models around ageing.
In a post announcing the fund, Goyal said Continuum began two years ago as a research effort based on the belief that “if the human body is a system, it must also have its own leverage points – simple levers that, when adjusted, can fundamentally change the way we age and live.”
A lot of people keep asking me about Continue. What is this? What are you doing? here you go…
Continuum was started two years ago as a research effort, with the belief that if the human body is a system, it should also have its own leverage points. Simple levers that, when adjusted…

The research team is investigating a hypothesis about aging that, if proven true, could “fundamentally change our understanding of biology and aging,” he said.
Goyal wrote, “Today, we are expanding Continue Research to include a $25 million fund (fully individually supported) to support researchers around the world who dare to ask simpler questions than anyone else, who believe that biology may be far simpler than we have made it out to be.”
According to the Continuum website, the fund will support two types of projects:
- moonOffering between $50,000 and $250,000 for high-risk, early-stage ideas that could reshape existing biological understanding.
- deep diveFunding between $250,000 and $2 million for researchers wishing to validate or disprove promising hypotheses over one to three years.
A key condition for funding is that all research results – including raw data, protocols and failed experiments – must be made open source and publicly accessible. Continue will not require prior publications or oversight and will fund projects based on their potential to advance fundamental science.
Continuum Research bills itself as neither a company nor a startup but as “a research team and seed fund for the next phase of human existence.” Goyal said the focus of the initiative is not on defeating death but on expanding healthy human functioning to help society make long-term, more sustainable decisions.
He wrote, “The goal is to extend healthy human function so long that humans stop making short-term decisions. It will take many decades for this work to bear fruit. The primary beneficiaries will be the generations that come after us, not us.”
He also clarified that Continuum is not a part of Eternals.
