Ukrainian officials said on Thursday that a nighttime Russian drone strike killed at least four people and injured 10 others in the eastern city of Kharkiv.

Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov said drones struck several residential buildings

Kharkiv Region Governor Oleg Sinegubov said Russian attacks also hit the cities of Lozova and Chuev.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Thursday it had thwarted a Ukrainian drone attack targeting two regions in western Russia.

The Russian Defense Ministry said its air defense systems shot down three drones over Belgorod, on the border with Ukraine, and two over the Tula region.

Ukraine and Finland signed a ten-year security agreement on Wednesday.

The agreement makes Finland the eighth NATO member this year to agree to provide long-term security and defense support to Ukraine in its fight against Russian invaders.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb said Finland would also provide $203 million in additional military assistance to Ukraine, including air defense systems and large-caliber ammunition. This funding brought Finland’s overall defense contribution during the war to nearly $2.2 billion.

“We provide military support not just for Ukraine to defend itself, we provide military support for Ukraine to win this war,” Stuab said at a news conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
